Valence Williams started her life with horses and then life took her elsewhere for a while. It was the words of her father after she was having some difficulty in life that led her back. He told her that what she needed was a horse in her life. And like all wise parents who know us better than we know ourselves at times, he was right.
Valence then went on a long and adventurous journey through Victoria and queensland, learning all that she could doing various disciplines and different jobs, all working with horses. All the while she seemed to be gathering her toolkit of things she would keep and things she knew she needed to do differently.
It was finally time for Valence to train horses for herself and others. This, it seems, is where her real learning began. This is where she was able to work with incredible teachers, the first being her horse Gambler.
Valence has an incredible base of knowledge in her training, working in equine behaviour and now equine assisted learning, she has a lot to give to the horse world and I was so happy she agreed to be interviewed for this podcast.
